‘Green Diversity?!’ aims to equip young people with the necessary tools to be visible and be heard with their claims for global climate justice. With their stories, they can inspire other young people to speak up for themselves and for their issues regarding climate justice. The project aims at a diverse target group with a variety of backgrounds.
But fighting for climate justice is a global and should be an inclusive issue. The people most affected by the climate crisis live in the Global South, but their voices are the ones least being heard on a global scale. The same appears for people from marginalized backgrounds or with fewer opportunities worldwide. For them, it’s hard to ever be heard when they speak out for climate justice. To tackle this, we would like to create a platform within ‘Green Diversity?!’ for people from a variety of backgrounds to tell their stories and to make their claims for climate justice be heard by a wider audience We would like to present to people within and beyond our networks examples of global fights for climate justice, with a special emphasis on stories from the Global South and from people with marginalized and less privileged backgrounds.
Our Goal: An interactive map with stories about climate activism all over the world.
